My son is 3, has a heart defect and is in need of surgery to repair what is essentially a small hole in his heart. The procedure is easy and is paid for, but in order to do the surgery, we must travel, and this is something we simply do not have the funds for. Part of our stay will be covered, but we are essentially needing to find the funds for food, the actual travel expenses like gas, and a 9-day stay in a hotel, assuming things go well and recovery takes the smallest estimated time of 2 weeks. We are trying to raise a little extra just in case anything goes wrong and we need to stay extra days. Anything helps.
