Dennis’s Fight: Kidney Transplant Recovery

Hi Everyone,

My name is Dennis and I suffer from Polycystic Kidney Disease. I was diagnosed 10 years ago and my kidneys have been failing ever since. Through all of this, I’ve continued to live my life as a single father to my beautiful 15-year-old daughter, Gigi, and I have continued to be employed and work my ass off day in and day out even when my body wants to shut down. Being a single father and doing everything on my own makes my income very important to keep a roof over my daughter’s head and food in her mouth.

On July 3rd, I am finally getting the kidney transplant I need to continue living a full and normal life!! I’m so excited for this blessing that I can still be around long for my daughter and be here for all the big events of her life she still has left to come. But what I am terrified about is my recovery time and the medical bills to follow. Recovery time can be 2-6 months long and during this time I will be out of work. Unfortunately, the rent and other bills don’t stop and I don’t want a life-saving procedure to be the reason my daughter and I lose the ability to pay our bills and keep our home and the memories we have created in it.

I’m a renter, so I don’t have the ability to pull any equity out and use that, so I’m turning to you to see if you would be willing to help by donating towards this cause. I’m not proud to have to ask for help, but I’m not too proud to know it takes a village sometimes to be able to pull through hard times. So please donate what you can to keep Gigi and me afloat while I recover so we have a home and our belongings to come back home to. Thank you and God bless.

Please remember to share this with as many people as you can. Every dollar helps!!!

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
