Colt’s family needs your help

Colt Don Gore is 13 years old and lives in McKinney,Texas.

On May 1, 2025, Colt had surgery at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD to correct a rare congenital defect that has required periodic surgeries. Johns Hopkins is one of only 2 hospitals in the US with medical teams who have the expertise to treat this defect. (The other hospital is in California.)

Post -surgery, Colt has had a series of serious complications which have resulted in the need for multiple additional surgical and other procedures. Colt is currently in ICU battling the worst of the complications he has endured to date.

His mother, Kelly, has not left his side. His father, Lou and brother, Hunter, have had to rush to Baltimore multiple times (more trips than originally planned) to support Colt and Kelly and give Kelly an opportunity to rest. These unexpected complications have also impacted Lou and Kelly’s work.

The cost for the additional surgeries, medical procedures, the ICU stay and added travel have grown exponentially. These costs, combined with the loss of income are a tremendous burden for his family. We know theses costs will continue to grow until Colt is well enough to return home to Texas and further grow as he recovers and faces physical rehabilitation.

Please find it in your heart to help cover some of this unexpected financial burden.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
