# Celebrating Emily: A Call for Support
Oh, Emily… To know her is to love her.
Emily embodies selflessness, kindness, and joy. She is truly one-of-a-kind, with a bubbly personality that draws you in – once you get to know her, there’s no turning back. Alongside her husband Steve, she is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Madelyn (7) and Lillian (6). Always eager to take on new challenges, Emily is an active member of her daughters’ school PTO, previously serving as treasurer, and consistently volunteers her time to make a positive impact in her community. The love and support she radiates daily are undeniable.
On Sunday, March 23rd, after feeling unwell, Emily faced an unexpected turn of events when she was rushed to the hospital. After hours of testing and misdiagnoses, which felt like an eternity, she was diagnosed with a rare form of small cell ovarian cancer. Given the seriousness of the situation, she has spent significant time in the hospital and away from her home.
Emily maintains a strong, positive, and hopeful mindset, and we encourage everyone to do the same. She has an exceptional team of skilled specialists tirelessly working to treat and overcome this challenging disease.
Fighting a battle that no one should have to face brings about additional struggles beyond the mental, physical, and emotional toll on everyone involved. With a solid support circle surrounding Emily, Steve, and their immediate family during this difficult time, the financial burden of both parents being out of work will eventually weigh heavily. My goal is to help alleviate that burden, allowing the family to provide as much normalcy for their daughters as possible.
Emily is my absolute best friend and favorite person in the world. She has blessed our family with the purest form of friendship and unconditional love, and we hope to extend that same support back to her family.
We are reaching out to anyone who can take a moment to send love and support Emily’s way. Every effort counts in surrounding her with love, allowing her to focus on beating this illness. Please spread the word. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Here are ways you can help:
