Assist Fredrick’s Fight with Diabetes

Hi, my name is Fredrick. I’m 56 years old, and I’ve always tried to carry my own weight in life. I work full-time and do everything I can to stay afloat — but lately, it’s been getting harder.

I’m living with diabetes, and I rely on a glucose sensor to monitor my blood sugar. Even with insurance, the costs are overwhelming. Between the portion insurance doesn’t cover and the other medications I need, I’m falling behind. Every month, I have to choose between staying healthy and staying afloat.

In March, I had prostate surgery, and I’m still not fully recovered. I have bills from the surgery that I can’t afford to pay. The healing has been slow, and the added stress — physically, emotionally, and financially — has taken a toll. I’ve had to miss work a lot due to the effects of my illness (I suffer with severe nausea and abdominal pain).

I don’t have savings or a safety net to lean on. I don’t own a house. I drive a 2011 car with over 260,000 miles on it, and I’m just trying to hold everything together with the limited resources I have.

I’m not asking for luxury — just a little help to manage my health and stay standing. Every bit helps: whether it’s to cover a sensor refill, medication, or just keep my car running so I can get to work and doctor visits.

If you’ve ever struggled and made it through with a little support, then you know what this means. If you can give, thank you. If you can share, thank you. If all you can do is offer kind words — thank you.

I’m deeply grateful for anything you can do.

— Fredrick

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
