Anthony’s Fight: Against Guillan Barre Syndrome Paralysis

My name Anthony Herrera, during November, 2019,I woke up in the morning and felt numbness in my feet that I could feel traveling up my legs. Within a hour both my legs were numb, I could not walk.Thank GOD my wife was with me, she called the ambulance.By that night in the hospital my body from the neck down wasn’t working, half my face was drooping and my lungs collapsed. I was diagnosed with GILLIAN BARRE SYNDROME. Today, more than 5 years later, I am still bed bound.My trache is out, I’m breathing on my own, my feeding tube in my stomach (G-Tube) is out ,I’m eating on my own. I’m trying to raise money for physical therapy, to strengthen myself to be able to get in a wheelchair and travel to Rancho Los Amigos, which has the updated equipment to help train my arms and legs, Neurologist to test and treat my nerves and surgeon to reconstruct my knee. I’m self sufficient and am blessed with a wife and nephew who care for me 24/7. I need to get back to caring for my family and using all of me to do the Lords work.
