My name is Mary Beth, and I am living with genetic SpinoCerebellar Ataxia, a condition that makes walking, balance, and coordination very difficult. While Medicare has provided me with a large power wheelchair, it’s bulky and not practical for travel. I am hoping to purchase a foldable electric wheelchair that I can easily take on a plane or fit into a car, making it possible for me to travel and participate more fully in daily life.
One of my biggest hopes is to visit my dad in Arizona within the next year. Right now, my current wheelchair makes this kind of trip nearly impossible. With a foldable electric wheelchair, I would be able to travel independently, see my family, and make my day-to-day activities much easier. I have already researched a specific model that would best fit my needs and lifestyle.
Having this mobility aid would also open up more opportunities for me to work and volunteer, as I wouldn’t be limited by the size and weight of my current chair. Your support would help me regain independence, connect with loved ones, and contribute to my community. Thank you for considering helping me reach this important goal.
