Hello, my name is Sandra and I would truly appreciate it if you took a moment to read our story. My family and I have been going through one of the hardest times as my dad has been in and out of the hospital. I’m raising this fundraiser to help with his kidney transplant expenses. It all started on June 7, 2024, when we noticed my dad’s legs were swollen. At first, doctors said it was due to diabetes and high blood pressure. But as time went on, the swelling and pain came back, and he was later diagnosed with kidney failure only 6% of his kidneys are currently functioning. He was put on dialysis about two months ago after being rushed to the hospital when the swelling got worse. Some of the medications didn’t work for him because his body couldn’t process them properly, so he had to be switched to stronger ones. A few weeks later, he had to get emergency appendix surgery due to severe abdominal pain. After coming home, his pain continued, and we found out he had fluid in his lungs from kidney failure. He’s now on oxygen to help him breathe. I want to be the one to donate a kidney to my dad. If you’re able to help, anything donated will go toward his transplant and medical expenses.
