Hi, my name is Jacinto.
Just over a week ago, my life was turned upside down. While working, I suffered a devastating accident a machine sliced through my hand, severing part of my finger and crushing the bone in my pinky. My nail was torn off, the top of the pinky was cut open, and my entire hand was left mangled and bleeding. I was rushed to the emergency room in agonizing pain. But despite the urgency of my condition, I didn’t receive immediate surgery.
For a full week, I lived with open wounds and unbearable pain. Every day, I called countless specialists around Houston, only to be met with rejection after rejection. No one would take on my case. The nights were sleepless. The days were spent fighting through pain and fear, knowing I couldn’t begin to heal until someone was willing to help me.
Then… just when I was beginning to lose hope a compassionate surgeon stepped in. One man, with a heart big enough to say yes when everyone else said no, took my case. Thanks to him, I finally underwent surgery to remove the damaged bone, reconstruct the area, and start on the long road to recovery.
But that road isn’t easy. I haven’t been able to work since the accident, and I rely solely on independent lawn service jobs to make ends meet. I live paycheck to paycheck. And right now, I have no income coming in only mounting expenses.
I’m creating this fundraiser with the support of my mom, who’s been my rock throughout this ordeal. She’s helped me stay strong when everything felt like it was falling apart.
Any amount you can give no matter how small will go toward an avalanche of expenses I now face:
The emergency room visit
The compassionate surgeon’s specialist fee
Anesthesia and operating room costs
Prescription medications
Ongoing follow up appointments
Wound care supplies
Long term physical therapy to regain function in my hand
Every single day brings a new challenge and a new bill. I’ve lost my ability to work temporarily, and the pressure is crushing. A reminder of how fragile and unpredictable life can be.
Your support won’t just help pay medical bills it will help me survive this moment. It will help me keep the lights on, put food on the table, and stay afloat while I recover.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for giving someone like me a second chance to heal, recover, and rebuild.
