Support Ian’s Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

My name is Casey Kaplan. I have started this fundraiser for a second time, in hopes to raise money for financial support for our family as my husband, Ian, cannot work.

In July 2024, Ian was hospitalized for what we believed was simply removing his appendix. While in surgery, the surgeon found a large mass in his colon which also spread to nearby lymph nodes. That is where his cancer fight began, leading him to continue to fight until February of 2025. We were blessed to find out at the end of February that he was officially in remission!

Unfortunately, as the next few months would unfold, he would start to see significant challenges with blood work. From low hemoglobin to a genetics test that showed many dead cancer cells circulating his DNA and blood. This, of course, concerned his doctor, leading them to have him complete a CT scan which revealed a nodule now forming in his abdomen, leaving him growing weaker, fatigued, with major stomach cramps which lead to nausea/vomiting almost daily.

He will begin his second round of fighting what is now stage 4 colorectal cancer on June 24, 2025.

My hopes with this fundraiser are to raise money to help with medical bills, food, and utilities for our home. Ian has faced so much this last year; he has so much strength and fight still left. I have all the faith that he will too, overcome this. ❤️

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
