Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
We are reaching out on behalf of Amanda, a vibrant 31-year-old mother of two beautiful young daughters, whose world changed in an instant.
Over the last month, Amanda hadn’t felt like herself. She had been experiencing headaches, neck pain, and visual disturbances, which led to several ER visits, consultations with a neurologist, and appointments with her primary care provider.
Fast forward to this past Saturday – Amanda was being cared for at home by family and friends when she began having difficulty breathing. 911 was called, and she was taken to the ER once again. While there, she suffered a seizure. Repeat imaging was done, and it was determined that Amanda had suffered a stroke. At just 31 years old, she was found to have a blood clot on her brain.
She was transferred to AMC for a higher level of care, where she underwent emergency surgery on Sunday night. Doctors were able to remove not one, but three blood clots. One still remains.
Amanda is currently in the ICU, facing left-sided paralysis, and her long-term prognosis remains uncertain.
Her daughters need her – and now, she needs us more than ever. This unexpected medical crisis has left Amanda in a very difficult financial situation.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help lighten the burden during this incredibly challenging time. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word.
Lets come together to support Amanda and her family with love, strength, and generosity as we navigate the unknown.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
