A few hours ago, I found out that my kitten, Sylvie, has lymphoma—a form of cancer that has already spread to her liver and spleen. The news came via an ultrasound, and the vet has referred us to an oncologist. They estimate that chemotherapy could cost anywhere between $5,000–$10,000.
Before any treatment can begin, Sylvie needs a blood panel and a biopsy to assess the severity and type of her cancer. These initial procedures alone cost around $1,000—and ideally, they need to be done this week.
I’m heartbroken and overwhelmed. Paying for the ultrasound today was already a financial stretch, and I simply don’t have the resources to cover what’s ahead.
I’m asking for help—from friends, family, and community—to try to keep Sylvie alive. She’s more than a pet. She’s my baby. She sleeps next to me every night and wakes me up every morning. She’s the sweetest, most soulful cat I’ve ever known, and I love her deeply.
The first $1,000 raised will go directly toward getting her cancer properly assessed, so we can understand the stage and determine if treatment is viable. Any funds raised beyond that will go toward chemo, potential radiation, and the ongoing medical care she’ll need.
Thank you so much for reading, and for any support—emotional, financial, or simply by sharing this page. It means the world.
