Tommy’s Path to Communication

Please help us in raising money for our dearly loved Tommy in hopes of giving him the gift of speech by improving his verbal communication through Stem Cell Therapy.

Thomas “Tommy” Parlin is our grandson and is now 5 years old. Tommy has been diagnosed with Level 3 Autism / Non Verbal, also reffered to as Profound Autism and he struggles daily with communication & sensory processing. Tommy is very limited on verbal speech.

Tommy is enrolled in ABA therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) and is partaking in many speech and occupational therapy classes. He has an entire team of medical professionals & a special care team within his school that help with Tommy’s advancement; not to mention all the care and providing he receives at home from his family as well as home visits from his Medical and Care team.

In an effort to assist Tommy in gaining the gift of verbal speech, we are planning to do Stem Cell Therapy (as well as continue with all his daily therapies) starting possibly in November. We are currently working with the Stem Cell Institute in Panama to get all the test and paperwork needed to get Tommy enrolled into the intravenous infusion treatment program which is designed to meet his specific needs which will be the speech communication.

When ready, Tommy and his parents Melissa & Josh Parlin will travel to Panama and spend a week there as Tommy receives the treatments. The cost of the Stem Cell Therapy treatment is nearly $18,000 and more visits may be needed in the future depending on his progress. I am the creator of the fundraiser however, all funds will be transfered to Melissa Parlin, (Tommy’s Mother) as she is the listed beneficiary.
