Help Shawn Fight Cancer — Let’s Show Up for Someone Who’s Always Been There for Others.
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters…
It’s with heavy hearts and deep hope that we share some difficult news: our sister Shawn has been diagnosed with multiple masses on her pancreas, ovary, and kidney. Her doctor believes this is pancreatic cancer that has spread, and they are starting the process of biopsies and blood work to confirm. This life-changing diagnosis has come just as her 52nd birthday is approaching in just a few days. This is a time we’d usually be celebrating her warmth, generosity, and the beautiful way she’s touched so many lives.
If you know Shawn, you know she’s the kind of person who’s always there for everyone else. She’s the first to lend a hand, the one who shows up without being asked, and the quiet strength behind so many people’s brightest moments. But she never asks for anything in return.
Now, she needs US! And now we have a chance to give back.
Cancer comes not only with emotional and physical challenges but a massive financial burden. Between medical treatments, travel to appointments, time away from work, a child to care for, and day-to-day living expenses, the costs are overwhelming. That’s why we’ve created this fundraiser: to surround Shawn with the same support and love she’s shown so many of us over the years.
Your donation will help cover:
Life-saving treatments and medications
Transportation and lodging for out-of-town care
Essential living expenses during recovery
Unexpected costs that arise throughout this journey
Helping to provide for her child
Anything else that may arise from all of this!
We know Shawn would never ask for this kind of help, but we also know she would do it in a heartbeat for anyone else. Let’s give her the gift of peace of mind, strength, and hope as she faces the fight of her life.
If you can give, please do. If you can’t, please consider sharing this campaign and sending your love and prayers. Let’s come together and make this birthday a reminder that she is deeply loved and never alone.
With heartfelt thanks,
Mahria and Marvin
