Hey everyone — my name’s Matt, and I’m 17. I’ve been doing my best to balance work, life, and managing my diabetes every day. It’s not something I chose, but it’s something I deal with constantly — and honestly, it’s expensive.
The money that most people might get help with for a first car — for me, most, if not all of that money, is going toward my diabetes care. My parents already spend a lot on insulin, supplies, and doctor visits just to keep me healthy, and I even though I understand that that stuff comes first, it’s still frustrating.
But, I do want to be clear — I’m not asking for pity or for people to feel bad for me. This is just the unfortunate situation I’m in. I’m sharing my story because I’m trying to find a way forward and get my first car, something reliable to help me get to work, school, and start building my independence.
If you’re able to donate or even just share this, I’d be super grateful. Every little bit counts and helps me move forward. Thanks for reading and supporting
